The Pin Parvati trek, a captivating adventure, traverses the 4810-meter high Pin Parvati Pass, the source of both the Pin and Parvati rivers. Beginning in the lush Parvati Valley, the trail follows the dynamic Parvati River, showcasing stunning landscapes adorned with vibrant flowers and fossil-rich rocks, culminating at the glaciated pass. Crossing the pass unveils a dramatic shift, leading into the culturally rich, Buddhist-influenced Spiti Valley.
Arrive at Kasol/Manikaran and check into hotel/guesthouse. Acclimatization and trek preparation. Overnight stay.
Drive to Barsheni. Trek begins with an uphill trail through hills and rocky terrain. Camp overnight at Khirganga's open meadows.
Trek through wildflower-filled pastures. Camp at Tundabhoj, with views of dramatic waterfalls.
Trek through rocks and dense vegetation, descending to the riverbank. The trail skirts challenging rock faces. Camp at Thakurkhan, above the valley's cliff section.
Cross a side river via a natural rock bridge, then the Pandu bridge over the Parvati River. Ascend through flower meadows. Camp near Mantalai Lake.
Leisure day at Mantalai Lake.
Trek through boulders and scree on the Pin Parvati Glacier, offering Parvati Valley and peak views. Camp at the pass's base (snow until mid-July).
Steep ascent to Pin Parvati Pass (ropes recommended), with panoramic mountain views. Gradual descent over snow and scree. Camp in Pin Valley.
Trek over loose scree and cross side streams. Camp at Tiai.
Trek to Mud village, then travel to Kaza. Overnight in a guesthouse/hotel.
Drive back to Manali via Chandra Valley and Rohtang Pass. Program concludes in Manali.
