The Hamta Pass trek, a historic route from Kullu to Lahaul-Spiti, offers stunning views of valleys, snow-capped peaks, and unique rock formations. Suitable for moderately fit trekkers, it passes through forests and meadows. From Hamta Pass (4270m), a vast panorama unfolds.
Descending into Chandra Valley, we camp overnight. The next day, a Jeep safari and short trek lead to Chandrataal (4270m), a breathtaking high-altitude lake. Its emerald waters reflect snow-capped peaks, creating a magical scene. Summer brings alpine flowers and birds, with nomadic shepherds sometimes seen nearby. The lake offers fantastic views of the CB Range and Samundra Tapu glacier.
