Kanamo Peak, affectionately known as the ‘White Hostess,’ presents an accessible yet rewarding high-altitude trekking experience near the remote village of Kibber in Spiti Valley. Rising to 5964 meters, this peak offers an excellent introduction to trekking on snow and scree, making it ideal for those seeking a challenging adventure without demanding technical climbing skills. Day 01 :

REPORT AT BASE CAMP KALATH (2050 Meters)

Forenoon: Upon arrival at the base camp in Kalath, you'll begin with an acclimatization trek to Sajla. This trek includes a visit to the ancient Kartik Swami temple, allowing you to experience the local culture and terrain while adjusting to the altitude.

Afternoon: The afternoon is dedicated to high rope activities, including the sloth walk, Burma bridge, and artificial wall climbing. These activities serve as both team-building exercises and physical challenges. The day concludes with a bonfire after dinner, fostering camaraderie among the participants.

Day 02 :

Activities and Expedition Preparation

Forenoon: This morning focuses on adventure activities, specifically river crossing and rappelling. These activities provide hands-on experience with techniques that may be useful during the expedition.

Afternoon: The afternoon is dedicated to orientation and preparation for the Kanamo Peak expedition. This includes briefings on the route, safety procedures, and equipment usage. The day ends with an adventure movie and a bonfire, building anticipation for the journey.

Day 03 :

KALATH – MANALI – KAZA (3650 Meters)

After breakfast, you'll embark on a drive to Kaza. The journey includes a stop at Rohtang Pass (3979 meters) for an acclimatization walk, allowing your body to further adjust to the higher altitude. From Rohtang Pass, you'll continue the drive over Kunzum La (4600 meters) to Kaza. You will camp overnight at Kaza.

Day 04 :

KAZA – DHANKAR – TABO – KIBBER (4250 Meters)

This day involves exploring the cultural and historical sites of the Spiti Valley. You'll drive to Dhankar Gompa, a fort monastery with stunning views of the Spiti and Pin River confluence. A visit to Tabo Monastery, known as the "Himalayan Ajanta" for its exquisite murals and sculptures, is also included. Finally the group will arrive at Kibber village for the night.

Day 05 :

KIBBER – KANAMO BASE CAMP (4800 Meters)

Today's trek takes you from Kibber to Kanamo Base Camp. The 5-6 hour trek involves a mix of steep and gradual climbs. Along the way, you'll cross a small lake that serves as a water source for Kaza. This day establishes the base camp for the summit attempt.

Day 06 :

KANAMO BASE CAMP TO SUMMIT AND BACK TO BASE CAMP

This is the summit day. An early morning start after breakfast will lead you on a climb towards the ridge, eventually reaching the summit of Kanamo Peak. From the summit, you'll enjoy panoramic views of Parang La, Pin Parvati Pass, and other Himalayan peaks. After reaching the summit the group will return to base camp.

Day 07 :

KANAMO BASE CAMP – KIBBER

Today's trek involves descending from Kanamo Base Camp back to Kibber village.

Day 08 :

KIBBER – MANALI

This day involves a drive from Kibber back to Manali, retracing the route through the Spiti Valley and over the high-altitude passes.

Day 09 :

PROGRAM CONCLUSION

After breakfast, the program concludes, and you'll depart from Manali.
